I _did_ say that’s what I recall from my college days – mid 70’s – and they mostly Went Up In Smoke. 😉 ETA: But yes, I certainly did poppers. Silver bullet type containers that gave you a huge head-rush and left your temples pulsating afterwards. ---

Shoot…now I am all pissed at my memory. I think the silver bullets _were_ Nitrous Oxide which we’d put inside a thingie that pop a hole in them and the amyl nitrate came in little brown bottles – you’d unscrew the cap and take a whiff. Do I have it right now? THC! See what you’ve done to me! Oh well, at least i didn’t grow tits. ---

[/QUOTE] Again, I think you’re mixing things up (which is understandable, the effects are very similar in some ways): the silver bullet jobbies are nitrous, not poppers. The things you’re thinking of looked like [this](http://www.creamsupplies.co.uk/buyonline/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=233), right? Those are one-shot nitrous canisters, designed to make about 1/2l of whipped cream. (Don’t worry, mods, that site is a completely legal catering supplier, and won’t ship to anywhere but the UK.) There is nothing wrong with being a member of a particular race either, but that doesn’t mean you want people judging you by it. ---

But, on the same token, do you all think drug use is inherently bad? That saying you might use drugs is a negative comment on people? I know a lot of people here do/have done drugs. One of my dear friends did some kind of mushroom recently and while I may turn my nose up at it I know it’s not a value judgement on him simply to say he has. In this very thread a couple of people have admitted they used, does that make them bad? “Drug-user” seems to have a very negative connotation to it, but I’m not sure I want to buy into what my parents told me and automatically believe “drug-user=bad” and thus perpetuate the stereotype that being called a drug-user is also bad. ---

[/QUOTE] You say you’re having problem getting dates. Now, I know a few mathematicians, and a few of them are a bit socially awkward. Have you considered that that might be part of the problem? Of course, the above is even worse than **VCO3** ’s, since you can’t definitely refute it. I don’t like VCO3, but in this case, I think the OP is being oversensitive and a wee bit defensive. ---
