Well, Robert Graves’ autobiographical “Goodbye to all That”, there is, when he is conducting some kind of disciplinary hearing for the soldiers of the Royal Welch Fusiliers, a chap whose “criiem” had been to hire out the services of the regimental mascot (a goat) to local farmers. Well, I suppose to the nanny goats of local farmers really, thus getting some beer money.

Anyway, this was considered to be not quite on, but there was a little problem about what was the name of the crime committed.

I _think_ they all settled for something like “Disrespect to the King’s Majesty”.  
Me, I _think_ the goat might have enjoyed its sex adventures more than marching around looking silly, but I know not the ways of goats. And I know even less of the king’s majesty.  
My tuppenceworth. But I am glad the dog in this case was rescued.
