John Ritter was in a forgettable Blake Edwards movie called _Skin Deep_ in the 80’s about which the only thing I can remember is one hilarious scene featuring glow-in-the-dark condoms. Ritter is about to have sex with some chick and she gives him a luminescent condom to wear. The lights go out and the screen goes black. The woman’s boyfriend then returns home unexpectedly and he’s wearing his own glowing condom. a chase and a fight ensues during which all that is visible on the screen is two glowing cocks racing and scrambling and diving and bouncing around in total blackness. It’s a singularly great scene in an otherwise mediocre comedy.
The funniest part of this is when he calls his lawyer to get him out of jail.

After he explains and his lawyer hangs up, the lawyer’s wife asked who it was.

He says “It was Jack, he was arrested.”

The Wife askes what for, and the lawyer deadpans

“cockfighting”.

I read that it was really Steve Carrel’s hair… oooh.
And you start laughing again in the next scene, where he’s walking gingerly down the street with blood seeping through his shirt. 😃

I also disliked the third Austin Powers (and didn’t think it was funny when Mini Me wore Austin Powers-like clothes), but that friggin’ Mole scene kills me.

For those who don’t know, Wonder Years’ Fred Savage plays a “mole” or double agent. Now, normally, I think they would just say double agent, it being the more common term. But, you see, Fred Savage’s character has a big, giant mole on his upper lip area. And poor Austin is just taken with this mole! He can’t stop staring at or referring to it. He uses the word mole inappropriately and then just starts babbling “moley moley moley”.

It’s much funnier in the movie.

[Kingpin](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0116778/)’s one and only great scene was when the characters were in Las Vegas and were too stupid to play the real games, so they played kiddie board games in kiddie Vegas. Games like Candyland™, Chutes & Ladders™ etc.

_A Night at the Museum_ was pretty darn bad. (Ben Stiller? Bad Comedy? Hoodathunkit?)

Anyway, two of the miniatures that come to life were a cowboy ring leader and a centurion. They’ve been trying to kill each other the whole movie, and, of course, end up as best buds by the end. In one scene, they’re trying to deflate a van’s tire using a soldier spear. There’s two other cowboys and two other roman solders helping them, each in turn getting blown away in the gale force winds rocketing past them. The scene keeps jumping between a close up of the men being blown away by the strong winds, and then a wide-screen of the van, showing a calm, peaceful winter’s day. Then, when the last cowboy or soldier is blown away, and the centurion and ring leader are the only ones on the spear, the centurion screams, “Save yourself Jedidiah.” To which the cowboy ringleader screams back “I ain’t quittin’ you, Octavius!”

I guess it’s only funny 'cause I didn’t see it coming.

Another Adam Sandler movie, \*\*Little Nicky \*\* really stunk, but the scene of Hitler in a French Maid’s outfit having to pick out the pineapple that [del]Mr. Wolf[/del], oops, I mean Satan is about to shove where the sun don’t shine, really broke me up.

**Multiplicity,** with Michael Keaton as a guy who makes multiple clones of himself. Stank to high heaven except for one scene. He has left the clones at home unattended and comes back to find one too many. The extra one is acting . . . very strangely. Asked to explain, the other clones say, “Well, you know when you make a copy of a copy, how it’s not quite as **sharp** as the original?”
“_War Games_.” Horrible movie…
I rend my garment in twain! I fall upon my sword! I bleach my brain with Ajax to remove the memory of my beloved indulgence of yesterday being characterized as “horrible”. Woe is me. Oh, copious tears.

😛

That said, **Caddy Shack** , an _actual_ horrible movie. There was a scene in the golf shop with Rodney Dangerfield’s character looking at some hats. “Woah!” he says, reacting with his inimitable bug-eyes. And he proceeds to unload one-liners about how laughably ugly they are. Looking around, he sees a man wearing one of the hats and scowling at him. Rodney does a double-take, breaks into a forced smile and says, “Oh, but it looks good on you, though.” He turns his head and rolls his eyes.

😃

So okay, you had to be there…

_Along Came Polly_ was one of the wretchedly unfunny moviewatching experiences I’ve ever had (I saw it in the freaking theater, for some reason). However, there is a moment very early on, maybe two minutes into the picture, when Philip Seymour Hoffman is walking across a dance floor in those slippery tuxedo shoes and does the most perfectly executed, totally unexpected (and gratuitous) pratfall I’ve ever seen. I mean he hits the floor like a sack of concrete. Had nothing to do with anything else in the movie, which is part of why it was so funny.

I laughed for about ten minutes at that pratfall. Then I stopped laughing until the movie was over. To borrow a line from George S. Kaufman, “I heard some laughter in the back of the theater, leading me to believe that someone was telling jokes back there.”

In “Mixed Nuts” (Rita Wilson, Steve Martin & Adam Sandler ?), which wasn’t that great, there was a scene where Adam Sandler was improvising a song and one line was “and I like grape jelly.” At the time it struck me as so funny I could not stop laughing. I embarrassed my husband at the theater.

It wasn’t that funny. And no, I wasn’t stoned.

God help me, I will actually sit and watch _Airplane II_ if it is on until the scene where Shatner is talking to some folks over what looks like a video phone and then the door opens and, in fact, he was just on the other side of a window. It was the first hint I ever had that The Shatman had a sense of humor.
I was not terribly amused by _Dracula: Dead and Loving It_, but this bit cracked me up (quote ripped from IMDB):

Renfield: Yes, I’m schh-eduled to meet Count Dracula.
Villager #1: [horrified] Dracula!
Villager #2: [horrified] Dracula!
Villager #3: [horrified] Dracula!
Villager #4: …Schh-eduled?

Still kills me to this day.
Two other funny scenes from the same dreadful film-

Earlier, Dracula appears wearing the Coppola-version bouffiant hairdo. Later we see him as a bat still with the bouffiant.

As the ship takes Dracula & now-mad Renfield to England, Renfield tries to stead the coffin as the ship rocks, only to be slammed from one side of the hold to the other.

As with most standard Cinemax fodder, the movie “Love Stinks” is pretty lame overall. But it is worth watching about 15 minutes from the end - the wedding ceremony performed by the Elvis impersonator (complete with backup singers). Hilarious (and not just because of the contrast of the dismal hour and 20 minutes that precedes it).

Re: Noone Special’s post about asexual reproduction. There is a VERY similar exchange in the (non-comedy) “Gardens of Stone”. What makes it additionally funny is that it takes place during a dressing down by an officer. And all parties have to hold in their laughter.
