I actually think _Dumb and Dumber_ is a pretty funny movie, start to finish, but my favorite scene is when the boys are fighting the effects of the extremely hot food in the restaurant. One of them (Carrey, I think) grabs the squeeze bottles on the table and is spraying them straight up, like a fountain, trying to get the ketchup and mustard into his mouth. OMFG, I laughed when I first saw that. ---

Adam Sandler’s “Click” was predictable and trite, but I can’t help but laugh at the idea of “Bed, Bath and Beyond” having a “Beyond” section with bizarre, otherworldly items. ---

I liked _Dumb and Dumber_ and _Kingpin_. The movie I want to mention is _National Lampoon’s Van Wilder_, a bunch of us were sitting around in a hotel room after a hike, and were too tired to do anything but joylessly watch the annoying pile of crap. But then at the very end, we were all howling when Tara Reid’s character slips the laxative into her ex-boyfriend’s protein shake and he ends up taking a dump in the trashcan in front of the grad school interviewers. ---

I’m pretty sure _Family Guy_ did the “Beyond” area of Bed, Bath, & Beyond first (though who knows, maybe the movie script was around for decades before being filmed). ---

Little Miss Sunshine was dull and boring, the entire movie. The only thing that was funny was the dance at the end. I think everyone remembers that and thinks the whole thing was funny. ---

Transylvania 6-5000. I can’t even remember exactly what happened, but Jeff Goldblum and I think .John Byner are at the dinner table. And something is happening with an ashtray or a dish. And they are obviously having trouble playing the scene straight. And it’s very funny. Rest of the movie blows. ---

One of the biggest drops-in-quality between a movie and its sequel was between **Revenge of the Nerds** (hilarious, although tasteless and dated) and **Revenge of the Nerds 2: Nerds in Paradise** (awful). However, ROTN2 did have one hilarious scene were Booger meets his spiritual master. ---

The insults were improvised, which is one reason the rest of the actors had so much trouble staying in character; they knew that he’d be screaming insults, but hadn’t read them ahead of time. ---

_Porky’s 2_ is just the average low budget horny teens crude-fest comedy and mostly sucked, but the scene in which Rev. Bubba Flavel and Coach Baubricker (two religious fanatics morally opposed to Shakespeare) recite the offensive lines from _Taming of the Shrew_ makes me double over. ---

Surprising how many references there are to _Dracula: Dead and Loving It_ in here. I actually remember it pretty fondly… Second _Transylvania 6-5000_. The scene that I recall is when Ed Begley Jr. is trying to break into the sanitarium, but he’s afraid the fence might be electrified. “Don’t be ridiculous,” Jeff Goldblum says, then wraps his own hand in a handkerchief, grabs Begley’s arm and touches it to the fence. “See? Perfectly safe,” he says as he puts the handkerchief away. Just the casualness (and the fact that he still would have been zapped) struck me as funny. So when Begley starts to go over the fence, Golblum calmly walks around the corner to where a guard is standing and politely calls, “Prisoner trying to get out. Prisoner trying to get out.” Begley, halfway over, panics and tries to go back, but the guards run up and he is dragged inside. Later, when he tries to escape, he tries to go over another portion of the wall, and Goldblum walks up. “Someone trying to break in. Someone trying to break in.” And a guard that had thrown Begley out earlier runs up, yells, “I thought I told you to stay out!” and tosses him out the front gate. ---

Another vote for _Dumb and Dumber_ as, well, dumb. But the point that made me laugh out loud was when the highway patrol man chugs the beer bottle full of piss, and then looks like, well, like you’d look if you found you’d accidentally taken a big swig of piss. Jim Carrey: “Tic tac, officer?” ---

The Jim Varney/Lily Tomlin remake of _The Beverly Hillbillies_ was one of the most laugh free and pointless movies ever, but I laughed when Miss Jane (Tomlin) hired a detective said to be “expensive but the best in the business”- Barnaby Jones (a cameo by Buddy Ebsen). ---
