# Comic?  T.V.?  What is Ultraviolet?

There’s a movie coming out next year apparently based on an existing story about vampires in the future called “Ultraviolet” (starring the vastly talented Milla Jovovich :rolleyes: ). I’m only interested in the movie because my current crush is in it.

What’s the backstory? What’s this going to be about? I hear rumors that it’s British.

This was shown on IIRC the SciFi channel a few years back. I tried to watch it but couldn’t make it through the first ep.

This is bizarre because it doesn’t sound like any of the same characters or anything from IMDB. It seemed more…sci fi ish on the movie site, and this seems almost more xfiles.

It was a cool [British TV series](http://imdb.com/title/tt0169501/) about vampires. Only six episodes, but packed a lot of plot and lot of style. Basic premise was that the code fives (the word vampire is never used) secretly live among us in present day London. The humans have CIB to fight the good fight. There is a single story arc that reaches a decent conclusion at the end of the last show.

What any of this has to do with the [Hollywood remake](http://imdb.com/title/tt0370032/), I have no idea.
