I’m going out to Chicago on Monday. I have to install a new server and a RAID into our satellite office. I would love the chance to meet some Chicago dopers, if they are in the neighborhood. I’m addicted to [Portillo’s](http://www.portillos.com/portillos/locations/) and might just eat there every chance I get. Monday night, Tuesday Lunch, and Tuesday night. I’m shacking up at the Incontinent (or is that the Intercontinental?), which is right accross the street from the office at 444 Michigan. A visit to a bar or a boiger at the Billy Goat Tavern could be in my future as well. Anyone up for it? a note to all you pervs out there, I’m not a nurse, and not a carmen. I’m a 6’0 185lb unshaven computer geek from Minneapolis, sorry to quash any fantasies ---

Just thought I say that I’m currently in Glenview, and there is a Portillo’s down the road. I doubt I could get off of work on Monday though. ☹ Have fun! ---

It looks like I’m working late. Since my normal 1 hour flight from Minnneapolis turned into a 7 hour oddessy that included a lovely visit to Detroit, I’m working from behind. If you work late often, I’m certain I’ll require a beer after work. I’m aiming for 7:00. ---

Sometimes I work late. With both kids sick and my wife home with them and already “up to here” in her had-it-ness, I am going to seriously try to avoid it tonight (and if I do, can’t stop for a quick beer). Sorry. I wouldn’t have even lorded the Bears win over you - I’m not a big fan. ---

Assuming I can get out of my building, which is right across the friggin’ street from[the LaSalle Bank building that burned last night…](http://www.suntimes.com/output/news/cst-nws-fire07.html) We’ve got one entrance open, though the street is closed and the cops are yelling at anyone trying to get down to our building. I fly out tomorrow, and I’m going to duck out before lunch. Luckily, the folks here saw me hard at work, knew about my love for Portillo’s ribs, and brought me a full slab dinner. I’ll try again in Feb, when I come out next.
