Changing their screen name was an attempt at a clean slate, and constant reminders from other posters of the old screen name made that attempt all the more difficult. so, from my own recollection, 'twasn’t a “ **Lib** ” inspired rule at all. ---

Posters shorten, nickname and otherwise mangle screennames a lot, which you may notice when you wipe the spittle off your screen. Big whoop. We aren’t the name police. The _only_ circumstance that causes problems is when former screennames are used. The problem is causes for other posters, especially newer folks who aren’t savvy to name changes throughout the board’s history and probably don’t care. If you want to continue a fight with somebody, knock yourself out. Just do by the person’s current name. Entertaining hissy fit, though. ---
