Hey there Hi there Ho there!

I have a website where several articles (or blogs if you will) run down the page and are separated merely by dates. I want to put a “comments” link on the bottom of every article that will open a popup to allow any viewer to leave a name and a comment. Simple. I do have my own registered website and my server provider uses cPanel X. There are several cgi scripts etc. that I can use, but I don’t know anything more complicated than javascript (hardly know that). Any help is appreciated.

Also, this came to mind. I noticed cPanel X has phpWiki. Is it possible to use this to create a password required page where me and several of my friends can periodically add paragraphs to construct an ongoing story? I guess this is sort of like a comments page like I’m trying to describe above, except the story wouldn’t be separated every time someone leaves a “comment” (paragraph).

I might be out of my league here… I’ve been struggling with getting some free cgi scripts to work for a guestbook. That way I’d just have a “guestbook” for every article… but if I’m not wrong, that means I’d need 3 separate files for every single article… seems like too much to manage.

Any help is appreciated. Let me know if you need more information. Thanks a bunch!

You’re going to need some way to manage N number of guestbooks, might as well use different files if you can.

Actually, I can’t even get one guestbook to work. I always get a server error. I can get the “simple guestbook” to work in Cpanel, but I don’t know how to use it to make multiple guestbooks.
