I loved all three of the Budweiser Clydesdale ads, but then I’m always a sucker for horses. ---

Looking over them all, I might give it to [Castrol Oil grease monkeys](http://www.hulu.com/superbowl/55650/super-bowl-xliii-ads-castrol-oil-edge-monkeys#s-p11-sr-i0). It had a good mix of slightly surreal, absurd, but humorous. ---

McGruber is funny whenever it’s on. My toddler son liked the one with the Tin Man or the Scarecrow (don’t remember which Baum character it was). Is Jack in the Box dead? I hope so! Doritos “Crystal Ball” was awesome. CGI isn’t necessary, ad people. Just go with the gratuitous crotch shot… we’ll laugh. We’re a simple species really. I am fed up to the back teeth with CGI in every damned commercial. And the Nextel “what if roadies/firemen/prostitutes ran the world” ads? Shut the fuck up. The concept makes no sense. If roadies ran the airport we’d all be dead, because they can’t fucking fly planes. ---

Case in point: Both Doritos commercials, [careerbuilder.com](http://careerbuilder.com), MacGruber, and from years past, Terry Tate Office Linebacker. ---

I was surprised to read Abe Vigoda played Death in the H&R Block ad. Must explain something. Congratulations to Doritos “Crystal Ball” for winning the 21st annual USA Today Ad Meter. It was created by two amateurs, and as promised, Frito-Lay is giving them $1 million for winning the competition. ---

I thought Super Bowl commercials finally jumped the shark this year. Nothing really clever, and except for the Conan O’Brien Pepsi commercial, the Doritos Crystal Ball ad and the Bridgestone astronauts commercial, nothing that gave more than chuckle. And even Budweiser, which is usually pure gold (though I think their beer is horse piss), flopped. ---

Loved McGruber, the Pepsi ads and some others… Hates, hated, hated, the Budwiser Clydesdales ads. Can’t wait for the one where the horse is running, disappears over the horizon… Cut to a dog food factory… I hates me some horses 🙂 ---

I liked CareerBuilder (I used to have that job), the flowers in a box ad, and the Bud Light meetings. McGruber isn’t good. The premise could be ok, but the execution is horrible and not in the “intentionally horrible” way that I think they’re failing to pull off. ---

OK, I actually liked the Miller High Life one second commercial. I know it wasn’t anything, but the subtext (although I doubnt the ad execs were thinking subtext) is pretty funny…Damn, football commercaisl are expensive, just yell our name… ---

I thought the 3 best were: Coke’s Prokofiev picnic Pedigree’s inappropriate pets Bridgestone’s astronauts Honorable mention to the smokin’ hottie in the Doritos power/crunch ad The 3 worst: GoDaddy’s courtroom Clydesdale immigrant Monsters vs. Aliens (2 scat jokes in the first 10 secs? Ugh) Dishonorable mention to GE’s unnecessary\* Oz \*pilfering ---
