Just about every McDonalds radio ad. Especially the Dollar Menu ads. What I need is Tivo for radio. ---

I don’t have time to read the whole thread right now, so I hope nobody’s mentioned this yet, but the E-Trade commercial with the talking baby who pukes mid-sentence is revolting. Especially since the first time I saw it I didn’t know what to expect and actually watched it. Now I know to avert my eyes. ---

I invest an inordinate amount of time scheduling my DVR to record shows precisely to avoid commercials. Even if I am going to be home and watching the TV when a given show will be on, I record it and watch it later. Even if I am just happen to be watching some random show, as soon as a commercial comes on I pause it and then go off to do something else for about thirty minutes. When I come back to the TV I am assured of being able to FF through the commercials for the rest of the show. That is how much I hate commercials. ---

Those [Slimquick](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WDQgsr5tR48) commercials…there are like 5 of them. I just saw a brand new on this afternoon. Enough already. [This one](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=66oZY3NcxLA)REALLY get’s on my nerves…Especially the, “I’m fat…not so happy” part. SHADDAP!!! ---

I agree with the “saved by zero” and talking thumbs ads. Erk. My addition is the commercials for Partini, a table game that basically looks like Cranium, but with a 1950’s/60’s type graphic design to it. Shows adults at what is trying very hard to be a “cool party”, but actually looks deathly boring. The announcer talks about how awesome the game is. The most annoying part is that during the announcer’s bit about how awesome the game is, some of the words are highlighted with graphics and a chorus of backup singers saying the word plus “tini”. For example: “Fun-tini!” “Flirt-tini!” Whoever came up with that idea needs to never ever make another commercial. ---

Another vote for “Saved by zero”. Also seconding the ads for phone/walkie-talkie systems that beep every fucking time someone clicks to talk. I can hardly think of a better way to make someone like myself hate that product more through the medium of television. Maybe if they had the beep-phones being used in a born-again church setting I would hate it even more, but not by much more. Lately I’ve been hating the “Nissan-THE FIT IS GO” ads with a passion. Is this an attempt at pseudoEngrish or something? A nomination for the annoying commercial Hall of Shame: the old “The touch, the feel of COTTON…the fabric of our lives!” ---

I’ve noticed a few mentions of the Alltel ads. It’s funny how I thought the “Saved by Zero” commercial was a regional thing because of the nonsensical, pretentiously trendy, “local wannabe band” flavor of that damned song. Are those “Binder and Binder” commercials national or regional? It’s a social security/disability firm that apparently tries to appeal to “real Americans” by incorporating a flag RIBBON into their logo. The commercial ends with some condescending suit pleading, “We’ll deal with the government. You have ENOUGH to worry about.” They seem to have caught on that the stereotypical “slick, big city lawyer” might alienate their target demographic: now they have him delivering the line while wearing a COWBOY HAT. It’s pathetic. ETA: left out part of the guy’s line. ---
