This may be weird, but for some reason i continue to be amused at air freshener / Febreze commercials in which the woman of the house (even in this day and age it’s never a man) initially wrinkles her nose in disgust at the nasty home smells. Then, after deploying the freshener, she takes a deep breath and smiles serenely, as if all her worries and cares vanished along with the bad smells. Often a visitor stops by at the end, and immediately upon entering the house they take a deep sniff, then smile and nod in approval. Y’know, like all visitors do when they first walk in the door. ---

I’ve never seen that LiMu commercial in it’s entirety. Hilarious! They usually end with emu sitting on the ball. I also like the one where he buries his head in the sand. ---

I DVR through almost all commercials. I normally don’t think much of GEICO ads; too stupid. But what totally makes it is at the end when the crazed murderer raises his mask and just barely rolls his eyes and shakes his head just a smidgen. I don’t know how many takes that took, but that guy deserves an Oscar for those 2 seconds. Perfection! In general I agree with the person waay upthread who said “The best commercials are the one ones where you don’t remember what they’re selling.” Art that succeeds as art and fails as a business product. ---

Someone should teach this woman the concept of “cleaning”. 😁 I may not be the most fastidious housekeeper in the world, but if there is an odd smell anywhere, I want to know where it’s coming from and why. The last thing I want to do is cover it up with a commercial perfume spray. ---

Can’t speak for others, but I’d noticed 😉 . OTOH, she immediately lets the guy who wants to hide behind chainsaws talk her out of it. So maybe not so smart after all. The ex-wife of one of my brothers is a natural blonde. Well was; she’s gray now, but still hot. I meant the ideal commercial is a) entertaining and memorable AND b) they fail at their goal of me remembering who the company is and what they’re selling. It takes both to be a truly great commercial. Ticking just one or the other box is not it at all. ---
