The “Not in my house” ad reminds me of a Sonic ad that used to air during college basketball season. The two doofuses (Pete and T.J.?) are sitting in the car as usual, and Pete is droning on about something, and goes to pop a tater tot in his mouth when T.J. slaps it out of his hand and says something like “Rejected! Don’t bring that weak tot action in here!” I’ve always suspected that bit was unscripted because Pete just sits there with a “WTF just happened?” look on his face that totally cracks me up. ---

I like the Voltaren commercial where 58 year old Paula Abdul dances alongside her 27 yo self from the 1989 ‘Forever your Girl’ video. Her apparent joy in dancing along with the tagline ‘feel the joy of movement’ is a little moment of happiness and optimism. She really hasn’t lost a step, and she still looks so similar to her young self I suspected that modern Abdul just did both dance versions for the commercial. But a quick googling found me this article that said it was the real deal, and the most difficult part of making the commercial was processing the 1989 video for hig-def.
