Although I haven’t seen it on television (it turned up during a game on my iPad), I actually enjoyed this [commercial for the Purple mattress](https://youtu.be/f0E2peI0aaI), featuring comedian Mallory Everton as Goldilocks. It’s unlikely that I’d ever buy one of those mattresses, but the commercial is intriguing and Everton’s gags are amusing. ---

It gets that old animation vibe and music just right, tells a story, and sells the product without hitting you over the head with it. It’s got style. ---

My current favorite is from Priceline with David Robinson and Latrell Spreewell. For those of you that don’t know the characters, David Robinson was the model all-American athlete, went to the Naval Academy and fulfilled his Navy obligation before turning professional. Spreewell was the poster child for being a bad boy. Although an NBA all-star, he is primarily known for having choked his coach and turning down a $21 million contract because “he had mouths to feed”. He hasn’t played since. Hard Work - Tangerine Bank The first few times I heard this commercial I was so engrossed in it I didn't realize what or who was doing the advertising. A very well produced commercial, and even the actors have honest, legitimate expressions on their faces. The taxi driver's face is priceless! ---

There was an old car dealership ad from PNW area that started with a close-up of a golf putt, and as the camera backs up we see some old fartload going, “Expecting Jack Nicklaus? No - it’s me, Dave Buck.” ---
