Zales’ “I think I’m falling” commercial. The singer (Daniel Lee Kendall according to a search) repeats it several times before finally saying the rest of the line “for you.” The way he does it so damn annoying that I change the channel to avoid throwing a shoe. ---

There’s a new one that’s bugging the crap out of me. A guy is waiting for an elevator, and when it opens, a bunch of people on it sing: “Jingle bells, jungle bells, jingle all” They stop and the guy looks confused, then lights up with: “Oh what fun, it is to ride…” Um, hello? The way? The. Way. The FUCK is The Way? ---

There’s a radio ad running for some local jewelry store that features a kid pretending to be a messenger from Santa. He’s trying to tell Dad that Mom would really like some jewelry from this particular store; at one point, he says “You know how women are.” :mad: Little brat deserves some reindeer crap in his stocking for that one. ---

There’s this one world of warcraft commercial where this raging bitch complains in a dead monotone voice how her boyfriend got her a WoW game instead jewelry, gets into the game and realizes she likes the game better than she likes her loving boyfriend, who got her the game because he thought she’d really like it, and dumps him for it. Christ, what I wouldn’t give to punch the ungrateful cow in the vagina! ---

Some radio commercial yapping about the benefits of some service to your company. In among the happy corporate noises, there’s a part where some woman triumphantly crows “_Annnnnd_… we… are… **ON-LINE** , people!” It’s almost friggin’ 2012. Getting your ass online should fall between ordering envelopes and picking a chair color for the break room. ---

I forgot to mention the Humana dental insurance commercial. This guy is complaining that he has to cut back on his expenses, including dental work, yet there he is on the golf course with his buddies. Plus, he seems to be able to afford dental insurance, but he’s apparently never thought of it before. ---

Speaking of dental commercials, all the ones for Aspen Dental and the like, where the “patient” tells us of how horrible his/her teeth were before and how he never talked or smiled “at parties.” They _always_ say that. How many parties do these people _go_ to? Without fail, they tell us about standing in the corner at parties. I’m sure that’s a real issue for people who truly need dental work. But if your teeth are that bad, you need to go to the dentist for your health. The commercials are manipulative in playing on people’s insecurities. And their “Take a little time to smile” jingle. Yeah, every time I see my optometrist, he reminds me to “take a little time to blink.” ---

There’s a commercial by Jamster that comes on Adult Swim that doesn’t fit in at all. Most AS commercials are funny, but this one is terrible. It’s got some CG rabbit singing some bad song, and if you text the number on the screen, it can be your ring tone! ---
