Two pages and no one has mentioned, “I wear no pants!” This commercial is being run into the ground during baseball games. I wasn’t going to buy Dockers before and I’m sure as hell not going to now. ---

That Folgers commercial with Domineering Daddy chewing out what seems to be a VERY young daughter for coming in late. (spits it out harshly - "it was STILL LATE!) Li’l princess says he doesn’t have to worry about it any more, she’s engaged! Hoorah! Daddy says they discussed it last week (poor guy was probably terrified at the prospect). It’s very, very annoying and they run it over and over. All Folgers commercials are annoying! Little mini-dramas that have nothing to do with drinking coffee! Stupid! ---

The McDonald’s one I hate has Mommy coming home late, giving the kids Happy Meals, then when she asks “How was your day” her daughter blows her off, too busy scarfing down McDonald’s. If that were my child, thw McDonald’s would go straight into the garbage and daughter would be put to bed! ---

Worst commercials to ever air are Car insurance commercials. They’re not funny, not witty, not clever, not anything…what they are is annoying and stupid. I literally mute the TV every time the Progressive lady opens her mouth during a commercial break (which is usually 8 times during one goddamn program). Gieco really needs to cut the shit too. They are up their own ass thinking their commercials are the epitome of comedy. They are also annoying and personally are far too long. The caveman ones were tolerable. They others…stink. My least favorite commercial of all time has to be the Gieco commercial where someone pops a tire on a pot-hole only to have the pot-hole turn into the most obnoxious white-trash sounding southern idiot female you can find and spout out a bunch of bullshit about how she (the pot-hole) is sorry…“did I do that” …I am getting angry just thinking about it…fucking ridiculous… absolutely the worst marketing ever. I actually will never have Geico ever just because of that commercial. ---

The AARP commercial where the cabinet door falls loose and the wife says “I thought you were going to fix that”. And he proceeds to do something much simpler: buys life insurance. If I were her, I would slap him into next week. Get some actual work done, you load. ---

I was ranting about that too and then I found out that with some of those osteoporosis pills you can’t lie down for an hour after you take them. So “taking a pill once a week” is really quite an endeavor, and you have to plan it on your calendar. From the Boniva (Ibandronate) instructions: _To protect your esophagus from irritation, do not lie down or bend over for at least 60 minutes after taking the medicine. If you sit down, keep your upper body as upright as possible._ Fosamax (alendronate): _Patients should be instructed not to lie down for at least 30 minutes and until after their first food of the day._ Actonel (risedronate): _After taking ACTONEL you must wait at least 30 minutes BEFORE lying down._ Folks in poor health may not be able to remain sitting up ramrod straight that long, because that stuff apparently will really mess with your esophagus. I think the commercials should say that, because they make Sally Field look like an idiot. I guess they want to avoid the subject of how caustic the substance is. “Boniva is like drain cleaner! But I don’t have to set aside time to take it anymore!” ---

So apparently they are So Not Kidding about the “sit or stand up ramrod straight, don’t bend over at all” instructions. ---

More in the spirit of the thread: My least favorite commercial is for some kind of hands-free faucet. It has a really annoying Sesame-Street-like song about “your hands can do so many different things!” and the whole time they’re showing people’s hands covered in various unidentified sorts of glop and goo. It is to puke. ---

So the commercial I hate is a radio commercial. Citizens Bank. They’re boasting that their rates are so low that it will leave customers speechless. So for the whole commercial you hear people going, ‘‘Uhhhh… duhhhh… ummmm…’’ Maddening. ---

If I recall, no one is shown covered in glop up to their elbows; what’s stopping them from turning on a traditional kitchen sink by using an elbow? ---

I hate the new Corona commercial. It is a sequel to an earlier one. In the original, a couple is sitting on a beach and a hot chick walks by and the guy watches her the entire time. As the hot chick goes off frame, the girlfriend squirts a lime at the guy. I actually thought that was funny. In the new one, some beefcake walks by and the girl ogles him. When her head is turned, the guy grabs the beer closest to her and shakes it and puts it back. Beefcake leaves, and the girl reaches across and grabs the beer closest to her guy and opens it. It irritates me that he couldn’t get his revenge and reinforces the “guys are dumb, girls are smart” idea that is everywhere. Also, the new Quizno’s ads, where the oven talks to the hot chick. She’s delightful, but the oven is annoying as hell.
