> This is about as minor a spoiler as it gets.

**RealityChuck** was talking in more general terms, and so was I.

Suppose you neglect to spoiler casting news because you think it’s a non-spoiler; except maybe you missed an episode, and don’t realize that the casting news _is_ a spoiler for folks who’ve seen every episode. Maybe it’s a spoiler to folks who’ve seen non-American previews. You really can’t be certain when you go case-by-case. Considering how nearly effortless it is to add a spoiler tag, why not err on the side of caution? Why the resistance to such a simple courtesy?

Because a great number of people have absolutely no idea how to properly use spoiler tags. Knowing that a character that has already been thoroughly talked about and discussed in the show is going to appear (especially considering the GIGANTIC paternity issue that was clearly foreshadowed in this episode) is not a spoiler, and it makes adding spoiler tag almost redundant, opening the whole thing up to one idiot improperly labeling their spoiler and subjecting people to an ACTUAL spoiler without wanting to see it.

Actually, it was a bit more subtle than that. The quote was written there, and the word “monkeys” was crossed out, with “Pierce” written in as a replacement.

Even better, if you’re so damned paranoid about spoilers, is to stay out of discussion threads about a TV show. Better stick to just watching the show (and fast-forward through the promos, of course!) Even BETTER would be to just get the show on Netflix after its run is over!

It took me a lot more than that. The note said “look to the left of the crumpled paper,” but I was looking in the foreground. It’s on the far (away) edge of the table.

**quixotic78** , I don’t think it’s reasonable to suggest that people who enjoy a show stay out of threads discussing a show, especially when the thread title doesn’t say “(Possible spoilers).” I still don’t think that naming a guest star whose casting has been announced in daily newspapers constitutes a spoiler, but I agree with **Max the Immortal** , as he/she says,

For many shows on **Television Without Pity** , there are separate threads just for spoilers. _Community_ hasn’t even earned its own forum yet, and the moderators often tell people that they’ve inappropriately spoiler-tagged posts that aren’t really spoilers (like casting news that’s been announced in major media) or plot points that have been revealed in previews of upcoming episodes that have aired on broadcast TV. But that entire site is devoted to TV and that’s all they have to do. We have to follow our own rules, namely, not being jerks.

I again apologize to **acsenray** and will make an effort to spoiler-tag such things in the future (I _do_ know how to do it.)
Those plot points like Shirley’s potential pregnancy, however, I will not. It is something that happened in a current episode that refers to something that happened in a previous episode, and it’s not reasonable to spoiler-tag that Troy moved in with Pierce or Jeff slept with Britta or Señor Chang isn’t a real professor. Sorry if you folks missed all that. Rent some DVDs.

It trips me up when a representation of a three dimensional scene is described as if it has only two dimensions.

PEOPLE! GET A GRIP! There are Annie’s Boobs to talk about.

There’s a part where Annie is about to rip her bra off before Abed stops her. 99% of my brain was saying “well, duh, this is a network TV comedy show, nothing can happen” but the other 1% was screaming “ONE TIME!”

Oh, and rewatch the scene where Jeff and Annie start ripping their clothes off - Pierce gets the most crazy lecherous look on his face when he starts ripping off his clothes too. It’s great.

i wonder how much of that was directed and how much of it was chevy. i further wonder how much of it is actor chevy and how much of it is dirty old man chevy?

watched NL euro vacation earlier today - mere hours after rewatching community. the aging process definitely messed with my brain.

also, the jurassic park thread alerted me that the girl who got sneezed on is now 31 years old. cripes i feel old.

Another thing I noticed in the episode with Abed’s Robo-cop vision—I dunno how to do spoilers and don’t think it’s necessary for an old episode, but I will mention that one is coming up, because after reading this thread I realize that some folks take this stuff reeeeeeeeeally seriously----------anyway, another cute thing they did with that was in one corner of the robo-vision there was a countdown that said somethinglike ‘Number of days to Troy’s birthday: 14’, which I thought was a really sweet depiction of Abed’s aspergic devotion to his bff.

Woohoo, I hope they incorporate Troy’s birthday into the next episode.

Loved this episode, but I like bottle episodes in general (sorry, Abed). I’m not quite sure why, but Pierce in a wheelchair just seemed right to me. Maybe my monkey brain expects him to be decrepit from age. 😛

The episode really rewards repeat viewings. There was not only the snatching of the pen by Annie’s Boobs, but Abed also gives Annie a chocolate at the beginning of the episode when she initially gets flustered over the missing pen.

I’m starting to think Jeff and Britta have a thing going on. Britta did mention that Jeff usually wears a certain type of underwear, but I would just dismiss it as just a in-character taunt, but Abed commented on her comment (“what do you mean usually?”) as well. Also, upon rewatching the episode, Britta and Jeff’s banter about the condoms from Britta’s purse seemed a bit pointed as well.

Too many awesome lines this episode, but my favorite: “With every passing moment, these puppies grow older and less deserving of our attention.”

Yes! For once there was more male nudity than female! And 2/3 are attractive!

Troy (almost) naked is _ridiculous_. He’s got the most perfect, gorgeous body on TV right now.

Also very believable that it was a “blow in the straw” wheelchair of the sort made for quadriplegics just because it was the most expensive.

Has it ever been established whether Pierce is particularly rich? I know he was a CEO of a sanitary hand wipes company but he’s also been divorced 7 times, so I was wondering if he’s rich or just comfortable.

We can still hope he gets cast in a sexy dracula movie.

I thought the best lines of the night were the exchange between Britta and Shirley:
Shirley: Mother hen? I think we’re about the same age.
Britta: Sure, unless time is linear.
Shirley: I’ll make your ass linear.
Britta: That doesn’t make any sense.
Shirley: I’ll make your ass sense.

**Sampiro** , lots of parents’ friends are serial divorcers. After #1, if they’re smart, they get strict prenups. If not, they _all_ have them after #2. All of them. No reason to believe Pierce isn’t still crazy wealthy. His behavior is pretty much spot on for the retired and very well off to me - he does whatever he wants to, picks up bizarre habits as it suits him (including going back to college), and has to have the best of everything he desires (eg wheelchair, etc). It doesn’t extend to all realms - he may eat cafeteria food even when his budget allows for filet.
