Howdy from da cave! Actually I’ve been here for a little while but I had to catch up on the MMP first. Dang y’all are a chatty bunch today! I am sans adult supervision. I forgot that OYKW has two home health monitorin’s this evenin’ poor thing. Anywho, the second one will be near to his place so he’s gonna stay there for the night. Ima make him up a plate of foodstuffs and take it over so he can nukulate him some dindin. **{{{rio}}}** yay you’re back! Sorry about your grandfather. Was that your first commercial flight, flight in a small plane or just first time ever you’ve been on a plane? **{{{Sari}}}** Very gently. Glad the gall bladder yankin’ went ok. Are you home or in the armpit? **sunny** hope your MIL’s heart bypass went well and that she recovers soonest. Glinda is the name of that alleged “good witch of the North.” That would be a mean nickname. After all it was that connivin’ Dorothy and she that stole a dead witches shoes. I think we should name **Faerie** **pixie**. **spidey** I was told once that sprinklin’ grits on a fire ant mound was a way to get rid of the critters because if they ingested grits and then took in water, they would blow up as the grits swelled. I tried it. Didn’t do a thing. I think the fire ants were all “woohoo! grits!” and made some sausage gravy and bizkits. Ok, I think I caught up. Yays, boos, hugs, noogies, wedgies, trouts, chitlins, how _you_ doin’s all around as needed. ---

Thank y’all for the welcome backs. I doubt there will be scar pics. Fortunately I was not gutted like a fish. At first I thought I was going to be cut sternum to groin, then I was told belly button to groin. Instead he cut parallel to my old c-section scar and since I never got any feeling back in the area that is the one spot that doesn’t hurt. So I am cut hip to hip. My belly is symmetrical again. Still fat but symmetrical. I guess the lumps on either side were the cysts, one the size of a lemon and one the size of a peach. Somehow I just thought they would be somewhere inside the body not actually making lumps. I did so well after surgery they almost sent me home Firday, but then I took a little turn for the worse and ended up staying until Sunday. Mostly I couldn’t eat, just smelling food or looking at food set off a round of the heaves, which not to give TMI, but getting the heaves at one end tends to set off uncontrollable things at the other end and that is miserable. Unfortunately I am in the armpit, but I am trying to make the best of it for now. So far my mother had only pissed me off twice in the hospital and once since I’ve been here. I snapped at her this morning so she is giving me some space. I won’t tell her much and that pisses her off but with her big mouth the less she knows the better. I still feel like hell, I’m still groggy most of the time. **Swampy** and **Bobbio** I still have my gallbladder, it was the uterus that went. Along with all it’s attachments. ---

We have a week coming up in July where a friend will be in from Texas (although she’ll be staying elsewhere), another friend will be staying with us for 3-4 days and either one or both of RT’s children will be staying with us as well. It’s going to be a busy week. And I certainly hope that RT gets home before then because he left a HUGE pile of clothing in the spare bedroom and I’ve left it in the exact same spot so that he can put it all away. 😃 I got a very sad call from Sock Lady today. Her husband had a heart attack yesterday. He’s in his mid 80s and the prognosis isn’t so good. ---

So I retain my status as “Most Recent Lap Choly” here. The gallbladder grabbing was bad enough - glad I don’t have girly bits to go bad and need removal. Pretty sure DH is happy about that as well. I didn’t photograph or post my scars anywhere, but one is already all but gone. The navel is being the problem child. My doc said actually removing the detached organ from my body was technically difficult, and I’ve seen via Youtube videos that the navel incision is where the gallbladder makes its exit. This guy has done thousands of gallbladders in his career, so if he says it was challenging, I’m really glad I had him instead of someone carefully holding their degree in gallbladderectomyology by the edges so they don’t smear the ink. ---

Supper was pulled poke sammiches - right from the freezer to the nukelator. Quick and yummy! 😃 Ziva has been hiding under the bed for several hours. I checked and she’s still alive, so I’m guessing it’s just attitude. I was afraid I might have locked her in one of the guest rooms. But she’s fine and life is good. I cleaned, I went and checked out a cooking supply store. Blurf. If anyone shows up to Stately Doors Manor, they will be encouraged to leave, by shotgun if necessary. I am super territorial and have problems with visitors. Speaking of. Life at SDM has been really lousy. My grandmother developed a nasty pneumonia that wasn’t responding to antibiotics. She also has nodules in her lungs that her doctors think are cancer, but they’re not willing to put her through testing to find out. So she’s home and on hospice. Last Friday, the prognosis was anywhere from a few days to about two weeks. I talked to her today and she sounds terrible. ☹ ---

I think our ants took the stuff and made breakfast with red eye gravy, then made more ant babies to bite me when I mowed the lawn. ---

There was a house fire on the next island over the weekend that killed a mom and 2 kids aged 5 and 7. The older kids managed to get out with the 18 year old son being seriously burned trying to rescue his family. It is so sad. I don’t know the family but we are a small community. Poor kids didn’t even begin to live. ---

Fahr ant poison was a regularly budgeted item when we were in Cottonfield County. Still have some, and it works just as well on pavement ants, the fahr ant’s addled cousin.
