Howdy from da cave! Hump Day is over. Yes, this mornin’ I did post to y’all from the future. Either that or I didn’t know the day of the week yet. Take your pick. Lasagna is in the oven. I made a sallit last night. I shall also do some cheesy garlic bread. Simple and easy, just like how I like my men. **sari** glad you’re on the mend. **gotti** that sucks about the a/c. A/C in a vehicle is a must in these parts. I’m still not gonna climb in it however. 😃 The _ **NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE** _ has issued a _ **SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH** _ until 10 p.m. I’m not sure if I’m supposed to watch for _ **SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS** _ or if the watch is issued in a _ **SEVERE** _ manner. The _ **NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE** _ did not make that part clear. ---

To watch for regular thunderstorms, fly a kite with a key on the string. Since you’re playing it safe & watching for both, you should combine both things & fly a kite (with a key att’d) from the end of a long metal pole that you hold up over your head. ---

It’s been a day of being bombarded with nothing but noise by the neighbours having a party. Loud recorded music, live loud drumming, loud megaphone announcements (they probably need a megaphone to be heard over the loud music) and loud screaming. My sister took off somewhere, and now I’m in the main computer room right now (my own room was way too loud) and I have a YouTube recording of white noise being played in my headphones. ---

Back from Kevin’s and stuffded. They had a new side dish - grit sticks. Apparently, it’s a mixture of grits and cheese rolled into sticks and deep fried. Very yum, and, as \*\*FCD \*\*said “Very gritty!” 😃 I’m exhausted, so I’m going to recline and knit the night away. _ **MWAH!!** _ ---

Grumble, grumble, \*()^&^%^%^& grumble… So I went out back to water my backyard after irk, and found that somewhere over the past year the hose on the cart had sprung a leak. A big one. Of Noachian proportions. So off to Loews to buy a new cart. Back home and I hook it up…to find the sprinkler was broke and dirt-clotted. Well, no problem, I had a spare in the garage, so connected them up and…it didn’t work either (water went all of 6" high and stayed in one place. So both went in the trash can and I’m currently watering with my front yard sprinkler, so I guess I’ll have to get a new one or just keep moving it. And of course, now it’s looking like it is going to rain… Grumble… ---

**Metal Mouse** Might I recommend duct tape for this type of situation? 😃 (The leak I mean) Not sure what to do about the dirt clogged sprinkler other than soak it. **Sari** Never having met a non-driving teen, I am uncertain what advice to proffer. On the other hand, I used to drive the speed limit, in LA. Cheerfully waving at all the one finger salutes. Cause I was so HAPPY to be driving that I didn’t care how long it took to get there. Toodle, toodle, toodle. It wore off. 😃 I mean I still love driving, I just like a little vroom with it. Today we had 97 degrees Amurkin. I do not know why the NWA did not tell me to be in Air Conditioning. I tried anyway. I also got a new purple cast. Supposably this cast will be more comfortable than the boot I was wearing while I had the infection. We shall see. I am contemplating just cutting the foot off and starting over. Harumph. MIL surgery went well (and thank you for the well wishes). She is still in ICU, but is recovering on schedule. On the cat front, yes, they do “assist” with bed making. In addition to sitting on the sheets, they also attack the hands that are laying out the sheets, tucking, folding or straightening. Bed making is generally fun for kittehs! I should film it. ---

Bed mice. The most succulent, tender, flavorful mice to be found, living under the sheets of human beds. Unfortunately, it is easy to mistake human toes and fingers for them under the sheets.
