I really do think the admins here aren’t idiots. They know what’s going on. It’s funny, back on AOL they would have done ANYTHING to get rid of Cyberian. Now he’s here, and it’s pretty damned obvious he’s breaking the rules, and they won’t ban him. I’m all for free speech, but John John is breaking a rule that is punishable by banishment, and it’s being shoddily enforced. I really do think the admins should use him as an example. It would make the MB a much better place, as well as prove that the rules aren’t hollow. ---

If someone has two (or more) handles, we’ll generally write the user and ask which handle will stay, and which will go. We will allow further postings by that person, but under only one handle. If you want to change your handle, write to one of the administrators, and we’ll help you through it. If someone has violated other SD rules (don’t be a jerk and all its corollaries), and we are CERTAIN that this person also has multiple handles, all the handles are banned. The real problem here is that it’s hard to really know if someone’s a sock puppet or another real person with very similar tastes and outlooks. Several people on the old board, for instance, thought that Opalcat and I were the same person. I was greatly amused by this idea. Lynn Staff meeting in the conference room in %d minutes. ---
