# Computer question re SDMB appearance

First, please excuse me if this is a dumb question. My computer was recently upgraded to Windows 7 and now everything looks different [del]and I hate it[/del]. One of the most devastating changes, though, has been the appearance of the boards. All of the post content looks like it’s in bold, and the parts that are actually in bold don’t really stand out. Is there anything I can do about this?

My web browser is Mozilla, if it matters. Thanks in advance for your help (you may need to post slowly and use small words).

Your text is probably zoomed to a level that doesn’t suit you. Try pressing cntrl+0 (within Firefox) to reset it (or cntrl++ or cntrl± to get it to a size you like).

Alternatively, you may need to futz with your Clear Type settings under Fonts in the Control Panel.

And thank your lucky stars you weren’t ‘upgraded’ to Windows 8! :eek:

Yeah, I heard about that Windows 8 “upgrade”. I’m going to hurt them if they try it.
