# Computer won't load/play video

I log onto [CNN.com](http://CNN.com), [Yahoo.com](http://Yahoo.com), [ABC.com](http://ABC.com), [BBC.com](http://BBC.com) and a couple other news sites daily for news and to eat cultural twinkies.

For some reason, my computer will no longer load or play these little 1-2 minute videos. The screen loads like it’s about to play and the screen is white/blank where the video would be playing if it was working. The caption above the video is there; the dialogue below the video is there. Just no video.

FWIW, down loaded movies that use Microsoft Media Player work just fine.

Any computer geeks that can offer me a little guidance?

these are often Flash based video. update your version of Adobe Flash.

and or latest version of Java is sometimes helpful.

I upgraded Flash & Java and everything works fine now.
