I have heard from him this morning. He is alive and as well as can be expected under the circumstances. He will not be returning to the board, at least short-term, though the door is open in the future. He has given me permission to handle this situation as I see fit, but at the same time, I wish to preserve his privacy as much as possible for his sake and his family. What you need to know: He has an serious illness and will need medical attention. However, he does not have a brain tumor. He was not jerking your collective chains yesterday and this was not a desire to hurt you or to gain undeserved sympathy; he was acting out of illness. I think it could be fairly said he was, in that moment, not totally responsible for his actions. At the least, he’ll be on sabbatical. He is grateful for all of you that cared enough to speak up and reach out, and he is very embarrassed for what’s happened. I ask all of you to be considerate of Inigo Montoya during what is undoubtedly a difficult time. your humble TubaDiva Administrator ---
