I just got divorced, so I haven’t needed a condom for 25 years (vasectomy, aids tested, monogamous). I’m hoping to get back in the game and I have no clue about what to get. Lubed? Flavored? Glow-in-the dark? I’m clueless, any suggestions? I’d especially like to hear from folks on the receiving end. 😕 ---

A vasectomy would rule out the need for condoms, no? ---

You need condoms. Lubed Trojans, perhaps. Anything more exotic than that coming at me ( ribbed, flavored, etc.) should be discussed with your partner as to preference. ---

Personally I recommend the bright-green Trojans. They’re called Twisted Pleasure. Of course, YMM(and probably will)V. ---

I’m not big AT ALL - average on a good day. But I recommend Trojan Magnum - they are much more comfortable. I have real trouble with other condoms. Joe ---

When it comes to condoms, I’ve never heard much commentary either way from the (female) receiving end, unless they’re allergic to latex, or _aren’t_ allergic to latex but accidentally bought polyurethane condoms (ouch). Studded, twisted, ribbed (for his or her pleasure)… not that different when you get past the first 2-3 inches of the vagina. ---

I recommend Durex. When I worked at Condoms to Go we used to get a lot of information about the different brands and Trojan had a much higher breakage rate than Durex or Lifestyle. The Durex extra sensitive or Durex For Her Pleasure are the kinds that I have in my dresser drawer right now (I’m a chick, FWIW.) ---

Durex featherlite - they’re really thin and it doesn’t feel like you’re wearing a raincoat on your dick. I’ve always used them and I’ve never had a condom break on me yet. ---

Oh, and just because they usually don’t make much of a difference doesn’t mean you shouldn’t buy ‘For Her Pleasure’ condoms just for the bonus points! ---

I find them to be on the thick side.
