Trojans really break more often? Damn. I feel stupid because that’s what I normally think to buy (not that I buy them all that often). Probably because it’s been melded into my mind that Trojan=cool ever since I listened to the radio in middle school and heard all those Trojan man commercials. ---

We never kept Trojans at my Planned Parenthood affiliate–though people would ask for them, it seemed only to be for name-recognition reasons. In reality, the times we tried handing them out, people later complained that they smelled funny, that they were thicker than others and so less sensitive to use, and that even so, they had more problems with breakage. In high demand there, and also my personal favorite, was one called “Pleasure Plus” which has a sort of pouchy area at the end that gives the guy a lot of nice slidey rubbing action on the glans and frenulum area. They also seem to be especially nice for uncircumcised guys, due to the extra room for the foreskin to do its thing. Next runner up is a brand called “One” that comes in neat round wrappers. They’re very, very sensitive, and we’ve never had one break. I also like Kimonos, but I think NajaHusband isn’t much of a fan. He detests rubbers in general, but doesn’t mind Pleasure Plus or Ones so much. ---

I read somewhere about putting some lube _inside_ the condom, too, to give the guy more “nice slidey rubbing action” (nicely put, **Naja** ) - is that a good idea? All the cool single kids use condoms all the time, **chacoguy**. 🙂 ---

[/QUOTE] I thought I read in the instructions that come with them that this was a bad idea, since it could cause the condom to slidey right off in the heat of the moment? This was a few years ago though. ---

There’s already some lube on both sides of a standard lubricated condom (and no one should be using non-lubricated condoms absent relevant allergy or health issues), so you don’t need to add much. Do be sure to follow instructions about holding on to your jimmy-hat for the dénouement, though! ---

Another female here who hates Trojans. They are way too thick, like you’re wearing a bike inner tube on your dick. I prefer Durex as well. ---

Interesting. We use Trojan Ultra-ribbed, lubricated, and the only condoms we ever had break on us were Durex. This was years ago, maybe I should give them another chance.
