I’ve been Googling to find lyrics to “Play That Funky Music, White Boy” by Wild Cherry. But I keep finding different variations. Some have first lines like: “There was a funky singer…” And others are “Once I was a boogie singer” There are several other odd differences.

Which is the real Funky Music? Can someone provide a link to the true lyrics?

You could do a two cd set of nothing but versions of this song.
