And while some folks get a petty satisfaction at knowing that the attractive woman got her comeuppance, if they knew the whole story they might have a different view altogether. I do know that the majority of the time it’s the lowest scum who are the ones most likely to approach and pursue the most attractive woman, and she can spend an inordinate amount of her time being perplexed and distracted by them. But the part that made me laugh is thinking about what I’d do with a guy who pulled a stunt like that and then started avoiding me. Once I figured out his game I might reverse the tables and creep him out, making him feel afraid of me. And he’d be running to get away from me, that weird crazy bitch, not running away to make me feel bad about myself. Fortunately I haven’t minded playing the role of the weird crazy bitch when it gives me the desired results. But I still come to the same conclusion, that losers aren’t worth so much of your consideration. Unfortunately there are lots of them out there, and yes, they will continue to toy with you. Heck, I’m in my 50s and it hasn’t stopped yet. It’s just that if you get in the habit of spending this much time on each one you won’t have time for much of anything else. ---

This is what we do on the Dope. We hash and re-hash, and dissect things. We have a need to understand; that’s why we come here. Then we get a hundred disparate perspectives, or we offer whatever hasn’t been said yet, just in case, even though we think that’s probably not it. It’s not a declaration of our raison d’etre, it’s just an intellectual game. ETA: Just noticed your join date, so I guess I shouldn’t be trying to tell you what the Dope is about, huh? 😉 Oh well, I’ll let it stand in case it’s interesting. . . ---

Oh, I get that. But, like another poster said back on one of the previous pages, I’m not even convinced this guy was as into her as she thinks. That she “knew” he was peering through the window at her car specifically to see if it was her inside? I dunno, that’s weird. But let’s just say he was. His seemingly significant decline (the unshaven look, long hair, personality changes, etc.) seems weird. PLUS if somebody I was only passingly aware of (whatever, she didn’t “know” him; he didn’t tell her a thing about his personal life, even leaving out his last name, and I see no evidence whatsoever, regardless of how much he actually liked her, that he was “pursuing” her) changed that drastically in such a short period of time, behavior which is Red Flag and alarming to the max (especially in light of other seemingly shady behavior), I would run away fast without ever giving it a second thought. Dissecting this particular situation for meaning just plain doesn’t make sense. It shouldn’t hit the radar as something worthy of the energy needed to actually consider any of it in detail. It’s weird to me, that’s all. ---

**TrueCelt** is in many of the same threads as I am… I get the feeling that she’s flirting with me. She used to be more active- but when I declined to respond to her advances I noticed that she seemed absent from many of the threads I was in. She might be a serial killer looking to make a skin suit out of me. It’s hard for women to resist me, so I understand her desire to choose me for her suit. ---
