Count me in for \*\*SpringEars \*\*and **WookieInAPub.** I know they’re wrong, just can’t see 'em any other way. I have the same user ID here as on WoW, where my ex-guidies universally pronounced it Ass-Canz instead of aSKANce. Ignorami. ---

Although I have met him many times in person and heard him say his Doper name out loud, I often think of **Cervaise** (_sir-VIE-uh-see_) as a French person would pronounce it: _sair-VEZ_. ---

I hate to admit this, but for a while I had **Antinor01** and **Antigen** confused. Since one is a lab-workin’ lady from Canada working to join her boyfriend in the States and the other is an erudite but slightly bitter-sounding gay man, this made their posts with a combined attribution very weird. “Does not compute does not compute does not compute” At least no one out there has a name like mine. ---

I always pronounce **Cervaise** as “cerveza” in my head. And although I am aware on an intellectual level that **John Mace** and **Miller** are not the same person, for some reason I confused them for the longest time, and the association is now permanent. And I also thought **Msmith** was Ms. Smith for a long time. ---

I was just looking at a thread started by **mangeorge** and parsed it as **mange orge**. Damn my high school French class. Of course, that means I’ve always seen **Mangetout** as **Mange tout** , so I guess French class wasn’t all bad. Hint: Do not take French classes in Tennessee. If you’re not careful, your pronunciation will be fucked up from listening to someone try to speak French with a Southern accent. ---
