I can find all kinds of sites showing me things about the Congress now, but what I’d like to find is a listing of the affiliations of members of the House prior to and after the 2004 election. I believe Repulicans controlled a majority of the states (not seats) in both Congresses, but I would like to see the figures if possible.

Look [here](http://clerk.house.gov/art_history/house_history/index.html). Also, Republicans did control a majority of the House seats from January 1995 to January 2007, not just a majority of the states.
