Has any Congressman ever resigned only because of a public dispute with a President? This seems like a bizarre new level of politics. Representatives in the House are supposed to be focused on working with each other and developing legislation. They certainly aren’t basing their tenure on relations with the sitting President. Only the Majority Leader, Whip, and Minority Leader should be direct liaisons to the President. I know Green is erratic and unpredictable. But WTH? Anyway, I hope the door doesn’t hit Green on the ass on the way out. Good riddance.
