Yeah, because people don’t use hyperbole in casual tweets. Have you met any young women? Their casual speech is full of references to “scary” things by which they are not actually frightened. She also said “there is a monster in my sink”. Do you think she actually thought there was a monster in her sink? And maybe MTG mis-spoke. But firstly she did so while making a serious accusation, in Congress. Not while lightly mocking herself on twitter. Secondly, we are talking about someone who said forest fires were started by space lasers on purpose. You feel confident that MTG _actually isn’t stupid enough_ to think the Nazi police were called the Gazpacho? You are more confident of her intelligence than I. ---

For what it’s worth, garbage disposals are pretty much unheard of in NYC. I think there was a ban on them for a while or something. I had never seen one until I moved away, and basically had no idea what they were for. But, sure, that’s the same as confusing the Gestapo with gazpacho. Whatever floats your boat. ---

So two things. 1. MTG is a moron. I don’t know if you realize this, but she’s _really_ dumb. Like colossally stupid. Probably why Republicans like her so much. They seem to prefer a lack of education, knowledge, insight, democracy, etc. 2. They may be common but the first time you encounter one they’re kind of wild. The first time I encountered why it freaked me out. It was more powerful than I expected. And I’m certainly no coward (you know former soldier and all of that). But you know. Nice try at bothsidesism. ---

i always had a healthy fear of the garbage disposal. i didn’t come across one until a friend’s parents got one. having a healthy fear of kitchen appliances is what keeps your fingers intact. ---

I’ve heard it theorized that these typos or misspeaking things are sometimes on purpose so that whatever they said goes viral. That people like her and Boebert don’t care about being made fun of on Twitter just as long as their bullshit gets spread around. ---
