Huh, it wasn’t paywalled when I clicked on it (and there’s also those 4 registered clicks), but just now, it _is_ paywalled. Guessing it was a “used up all your free views” thing? (I thought only Wapo and NYT offered that. Anyway.) Aside from his quote excerpted in the headline (“[Republicans] come up to me every day with tears in their eyes”) he added that he literally means that - that it does happen, every day. The reason why I put brackets around “Republicans” is because the Trumpcentric meme I was referring to sure wouldn’t include that R word. ---
