That poor tiger was probably missing the burgers at Dick’s Drive-In, no wonder he was ravenous.

IIRC, a zoo spokesperson said that they have a “shooter” and a “darter” available during regular (ie, open) zoo hours.
This guy was part of a company that was contracted to clean – not where he was – after hours.

The zoo has a “shoot team” that is trained for “daily crisis activity” and protocol is for that team to be at the zoo when it is open to the public, Jolly said. The team includes an incident commander, someone in charge of the animals, a lead shooter and a lead darter.

How has she not been kicked out of Congress yet? She’s literally calling for the overthrow of the government and a second Civil War. Why isn’t that the end of the conversation?
Because 1) all the other Republicans in Congress will actively cover for her and any other party members engaging in similar behavior, and 2) a significant majority of her constituents want the same thing she does.
Corruption, stupidity and treason are now core Republican values.

Because at this point, even the sensible people are starting to think a divorce isn’t such a bad idea. I know a lot of Americans think the Civil War was the last word on whether or not States can leave the Union, but really, it’s not. We’re the adults now, and we get to decide what that means today. If enough people on both sides agree that the United States has failed as a nation, there’s nothing stopping them from coming together to dissolve the Union. One good Constitutional Convention is all it would take, and that’s just the existing legal means for such an action. There are probably quite a few de facto means by which it could be accomplished as well.
Short of just shooting them all, there’s no way to get rid of these hard-core idiots at this point. So what other options do you have? You can continue letting them screw up everyone else, or you can divorce them. At least that way they can go about their day only screwing up their own states.
How would that work, exactly, when there are more Republican voters in California than Mississippi, and more Democratic voters in Texas than in Massachusetts.
Very badly, I suspect, but really, do you think, “Man, that’s a bad idea” is an argument that’s actually going to work these days?
