Come to think of it there is a fourth possibility that sort of combines all three of the ones above. Putin supported Trump over Clinton/Biden, therefor he is one of the “good” guys. After all, what’s a bit of genoncide when compared to the horror of having a trans woman doing her business in the stall next to yours.

She’s said and done so many stupid fucking things, that you’d think it would be pretty easy for a quick, or even medium, witted person to eviscerate her in like a town hall setting where she’s trapped. Dems take the high road a little bit too much. When one of her colleagues in the House calls her “the gentlelady from Georgia”, I know that decorum is being maintained, but I still want to puke.
It’s amusing to see talking heads debunking this divorce plan, and finding flaws when the whole thing is as stupid as a couple of little kids debating why there can’t be a real Batman.
For a Democrat to blast MTG would only greatly enhance her image. An R who is being attacked by the enemy must be a good R, so the logic goes.
Do the bulk of Rs actually like her being the face of the party? Is she like an organ grinder’s monkey? Everybody laughs and throws a tip.
She has committee assignments and she won her reelection easily. So, the bulk of R voters in her district and the bulk of R House members must be fine with her.

A couple of little kids debating any subject are honing their communication skills and exercising logical thought. It’s just good practice. MTG is mcuh, much dumber than that.

Her logic (if you’ll forgive the idea) is likely “They can only catch a certain percentage of smuggled shipments, so if they’ve seized X just imagine how much more is getting through.”
But she’s either too stupid to make that idea plain, or smart enough (I know) to understand that saying so would sound critical of CBP.
Yes, I’ve seen that logic often. It’s a neat win-win for these jokers; if numbers go down it means Biden isn’t catching enough, and if it goes up it means that there are even more not being caught.
