Yeah. Unfortunately, that’s not working out. But considering the previous POTUS (a traitorous insurrectionist) and current SCOTUS (more money please, constitution be dammed), it seems we are screwed.
The Founding Fathers never, ever, thought that 1/3 of the country would turn into morons that would follow any illusive carrot that was hung before them.
And MTG will come up with the ‘defense’ that her cleaning woman found her notes.
We are screwed if we can’t get rid of this slime. All the way from Trump to MTG and many, many others.
Well, honestly, they might have. They had a pretty dim view of “the masses.” They just neve thought we’d allow them to vote.
I suppose that’s true. Was it only white landowners could vote? That’s much more in line with what the GOP is trying to do today.
Yes, for centuries democratic ideology has held that the Framers underestimated the ability of the common people to rationally participate in in politics. Lately it’s seemed like maybe they were right and their only error was in assuming that rich white men could do any better. 
She was recently silenced (by a Republican committee chair) for not knowing how to be a decent human being.
After watching a couple of clips from MTG at today’s hearings, I’m going to take the bold step of modifying a considered opinion.
I heard (NYT columnist, author) David Brooks once say that, while he had never interviewed MTG, personally, he knew lots of people who had, and that she “knows what she’s doing.”
I’m inclined to agree. I become more and more convinced that she is far more evil than stupid (though, perhaps, still shockingly the latter as well).
It’s just the apotheosis of cynicism.
Everything that came out of her maw in the two clips that I watched (the one that @Moriarty posted and one I’ll link to below) was a fusillade of logical fallacies, factual inaccuracies, and just generalized RWNJ blather.
But – as always – 110% lost on her audience. It’s vile marketing genius, the kind I always believed TFG has in spades.
Sickening, but – even more so – shameful that it’s effective. And we shouldn’t ever deceive ourselves. It is.
It’s worth remembering that no matter how entertaining the GOP base may find Greene’s belligerence and general hatefulness, she DOES remain a Female.
Thus GOP leadership will probably not greatly displease GOP voters by occasionally ‘putting her in her place.’ It kind of goes with the brand.

He was already their Black Mascot—to be trotted out as ‘proof’ that black people are violent, over-sexed, not smart, etc. etc.
They would have loved to have him remain in the public eye to be used in that way.

I was just thinking how sweet it would be if someone had to be subjected to her questioning, and answered every question with an apologetic: “I’m sorry. I don’t remember.”

MTG just discovered that porn is a thing on the internet, and it’s all Hunter Biden’s fault:
“Here’s what I found out this week,” she said at the Putnam County Republican Party’s Lincoln Reagan Dinner over the weekend, via Raw Story. “There is a website, you may or may not have heard about it, called Pornhub. It is a disgusting porn website. As a matter of fact, it should be illegal. I can’t even… I don’t even know why it exists.” Here comes the turn toward Hunter:
“But Hunter Biden used to have multiple accounts on this Pornhub pornography sex website.”
Which is odd, not just because it’s entirely unbelievable that she was unaware of the existence of pornography on the internet, but because she was blaming the existence of this porn-thing on the internet that she was entirely unaware of on the left’s persecution of white males a year ago in another of her bizarre conspiracies:
