She is such a stupid goon.
I refuse to pass up this opportunity to ridicule MTG by linking to Mogu Mogu Yummy.
Agreed, just as you say it.
The bill is an insert to Civil Rights Act of 1964 Title VI clarifying what sorts of people cannot be discriminated against in a federally funded education program. II I understand correctly, should Biden sign the bill, federal funds recipients could not discriminate against Zionist Jews any more than they could discriminate against Jews in general. While I agree about the cynical play aspect, I might squint a bit and see a need for this legislation given the anecdote at the start of this column.
The problem with MTG’s objection is that it has nothing to do with the Civil Rights Act and discrimination. Or if it does, she isn’t just saying that Jews told the Romans to kill Jesus. I’m making the mistake of treating her statements as if intellectually coherent, but she seemingly implies it is OK to discriminate not only against Zionist Jews, but also against Jews generally for being Christ-killers.
Perhaps she is against the Civil Rights Act, period.
I’m not sure that it was called a Uniparty, but in the 70s / 80s, the “radical” left or right complained that there wasn’t much of a difference between the Democrats and the Republicans. And they weren’t terribly wrong. That was the era of cooperation and “you scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours.”, where the sponsor of a bill was scrambling to find support from the opposing party as well as their own.
In other words, MTG is a whining baby because something passed with support of both major parties but not her little play group, and she’s bringing up an old idea like it’s new.
I suspect there’s no “perhaps” about it.
She opposes Antifa, because she is fa.
She opposes BLM because she hates BL.
With her backing down,is MTG defanged as well as deranged?
MTG said she had spoken with Trump but didn’t care to tell the press what they discussed. I wouldn’t count MTG out quite yet, but hopefully this is a good sign Republicans are tired of her nonsense.
MTG fires top staffer because his adultery “made her look bad”.
Is this the same MTG who had an affair while married to her first husband?
In all honesty it actually makes sense. Having a staffer whose infidelity is in the news just reminds people of your own infidelity.
Then again, firing that staffer just perpetuates the media coverage as a Streisand Effect.
Guess who foolishly decided to bring forward a vote to vacate the speaker position and got shot down? Schadenfreude time!
In one of the articles, Lisa Murkowski said it best: MTG is nothing but just 1 representative out of 435. Why do we keep giving her special power and attention as if she’s some sort of Vice Speaker of the House? That’s what annoys me the most.
For the exact same reason people slow down to look at car accidents on the freeway.
Howler monkeys are going to fling their poo.
If McCarthy hadn’t made that stupid deal to allow a single member to call to vacate the Speakership, we wouldn’t be talking about her.
But she now has the power to pull this stunt any time she wants to, and she’s crazy enough to use that power. So we end up having to talk about her.
I cannot copy and paste it; and would you want me to?; but she has a post on X saying Shes Sorry.
Not sure what she’s sorry about.
Sounds like a complete sentence to me. I guess she could say, I’m a sorry excuse for a human being.
AFA MTG’s unwarranted power, I’m comforted by remembering that Robespierre was seemingly powerful, too, until one day he wasn’t.
Marjorie Taylor Greene faces the beginning of the end after failed run at Mike Johnson
The link is to an opinion piece, but I just loved the opening:
It appears Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has finally out-stupid-ed herself.
That’s no small task.
