Jumping this discussion to this thread, if that’s alright - I’m gonna need slightly more convincing than that. I don’t find the fact that you, a human of a certain culture, identify certain collections of stimuli as “cat” to be somehow more meaningful than an embodied chatbot like PALM-E being able to do the same, and I still don’t understand what “inner un-get-atable nature” you can get at through your memory of all the past times that a collection of stimuli was identified as a “cat” that PALM-E doesn’t also have access to. --- _[View the full topic](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/conscious-experience-is-self-representational-access-to-intrinsic-properties/954814)._
