# Conservative Dopers- would this bother you?

I consider myself quite becoming and civilized, thankyouverymuch. And I live in Pittsburgh, not some “obscure tribe in the Amazons”. Yep, those uncivilized, barbarian beings!

Glad to hear it went well!  
I didn’t get my nose pierced because I wanted to “rebel”. I got it done because I liked it. And I still like it. I’m so used to it being there that when I’ve take it out to clean it, I see myself in the mirror and it seems weird for it NOT to be there. It’s just a tiny little blue gem.  
If you ever have a job or whatever where you can’t wear it, but don’t want to take it out, you can get a[retainer](http://www.body-jewelry-shop.com/jewelry/K-12-4A-SCRW.html).

(God, at the Science Center, EVERYONE was pierced. My boss had an eyebrow ring. And one of my supervisors had his ears gauged and a labret.
