A campus I know is supposed to represent college–student nightmares take place there The big communal bathroom with no usable toilets is reasonably similar each time The closet from my childhood bedroom --my therapist said at one point that that would be an excellent area to delve into! An expanded and deluxe version of a house/apartment my Grandma supposedly lives in, with more bedrooms everytime you look around A rundown apartment I have taken, with all kinds of work needed that causes me stress ---

My most frequently recurring dream has two variant locations. The theme of the dream is trying SO HARD to get to a particular location (home?), and being stymied by rerouting, detours, maze-like paths, and constant side distractions. Sometimes I’m walking; sometimes I’m driving, but the feeling is always the same. **Location number 1** is a big city, I’m sure it’s Boston but there are no iconic landmarks in the dream (unless you consider highway snarls uniquely Bostonian). I know it’s Boston because it’s the only big city I’ve ever driven in, it stresses me out every time I drive there, and my old man took us on countless Boston trips when I was a kid and got lost **every single fucking** time. **Location number 2** is a rural country byway, lots of crossroads and forks, lots of corner variety stores; I’m never sure which way to go. I’m sure these dreams are significant and I’d love to have them analyzed, especially since I have them so regularly. They are never exactly the same, but the dream-feeling they bring on is constant. **Why can’t I just get where I want to go?!?** Sweet dreams, everyone. ---

I have a dream city, and the weird thing is that as I’ve moved from place to place in real life, so has the city. In the dream I know that it’s the next city away, as if it picked itself up and moved 120 miles like I did! My city’s mostly places to shop and I have a lot of dreams about shopping and usually not finding what I want. Unsurprisingly dreams about shopping are supposed to be about looking for something missing in your life and making choices. I also dream about my college dorm, but it’s often not my dorm any more. Just last night it was a prison where I was visiting an imaginary friend. It’s also been a haunted house and a hotel, but it still “looks” like the dorm no matter what its function in the dream is. ---

I just thought of another one. I have at least one dream a month located in a cafeteria. A college cafeteria. It has multiple levels and I’m always waiting/looking for someone to join me. Paging Dr. Freud . . . ---

Well, my example doesn’t exactly fit the requirements to post in here because it was the first time for it; but, it’s definitely not thread worthy. I dreamed I went to Narnia. It was cold and I was trying to get layered up in order to be able to handle the cold. I definitely had the layering going on! Hopefully, I will get to go back and that I will be dressed more appropriately. Make note to self …Self, wear something to bed tonight!
