These will continue to find favor for as long as there are people who disagree that something can be dismissed merely by calling it a ‘conspiracy theory’.

I will note that here you have reversed the process.

Nothing is dismissed because it is called a Conspiracy Theory. Proposals that are so ludicrous as to deserve to be dismissed are then accorded the title Conspiracy Theory.
