# Consuming apple and orange seeds

I have been throwing whole apples and oranges (peeled) in with my morning fruit smoothie. Is this an accepted practice amongst the smoothie drinkers?

Apple seeds contain cyanide (admittedly usually below a lethal dosage) so it’s probably not a great idea.
