Um, that’s exactly what you want to protect yourself against. I sure as hell didn’t get medical insurance because I thought I’d get sick. I don’t get sick very much at all. The last time I needed to go to the doctor for a anything more than a check-up was 1997.
Sorry, for me the risk-to-reward is not worth it. Putting an extra $80 towards credit cards is small change compared with the large amount of money you’re risking should anything unforseen happen to you. Of course, chances are slim that anything will happen to you, but if they do, you sure as hell will be wishing you had paid the $80.
Eighty bucks is a small price for piece of mind and for doing the socially responsible thing.
