Let’s not forget, however, that they sometimes prune old threads. So, from time to time, **handy** ’s numbers may go down.

I suspect that the SDMB counter might work on base 12 instead of 10. In which case:
Handy has 6408 posts as right now, which would be equivalent to:
10368 (1728_6) + 576 (144_ 4) + 0 (0\*12)+ 8 ( 8 \* 1) = 10952
Since he has been 457 days in the SDMB
10952 / 547 = 20.02 posts per day
So, a simple regression tells us that Handy reached his 10k post 48 days ago, which, according to my calendar, corresponds to July 30th.
In the spirit of so transcendental an achievement, I propose that July 30th shall live in immortality here on the SDMB, and be eternally consecrated as Handy’s day.
Now, if only Cecil would step down from his throne and make it official…

Ohhhh…I’m terribly sorry **Zenster** , but the judges have disqualified that answer because you tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs (Viagra and PCP). Try again! 😃

This might come as a surprise but I noticed for the first time about a week ago that one message I wrote was missing. But the Topic was still there. But of course, I really probably shouldn’t have given the info in it that I did but it wasn’t anything special.

I predict that through some freak of nature, his 10,000th post will be destroyed by a quantum singularity on **July 9, 2001** , but no one will notice because the counter will say 10,001 and everyone will just assume. I also predict that on that date:
- Michael Jackson will marry one of his chimps.
- Madonna will marry Ellen DeGeneres AND Dennis Rodman.
- Bill Clinton will embark on a new career in soft porn.
- Dr. Kevorkian will assist his own suicide.
- The SMDB counters are all reset to zero. Oops!

Look I happen to enjoy living dangerously, and if there’s one thing that I’ve learned it’s this. When you make love like an animal, it takes animal grade tranquilizers to get over the exertion of all that heavy lifting.

Wait, wait, wait. The counts are DEFINATELY going down. Didn’t Handy have 7000 posts at one time? I’m POSITIVE he did. There was a thread about it. It was about Wally, Coldfire, Handy, and David B’s enormous post counts! Lesse if I can find it. I like the idea of a post count party forum.
ALSO, do our post counts include posts pre-vB? Because us old 'uns would have a ton more posts if they don’t. Remember, post counts weren’t activated until months after we converted to vB.

Homer, I didn’t notice a post count that high but then I rarely look at my post count.
David B. also has a very high post count; but we rarely see any posts from each other.
