I believe what I wrote covered the subject, without getting into a pi\*\*ing match over Bush. He presented a plan, but obviously it will be debated and changed before becoming a fact. The one thing we should not do is just shelve the idea of reforming SS, because the problem just gets worse as long as it stays the same. ---

I’m sorry but the Bush history of exaggeration and misdirection \*is]/i] important. A Social Security fix needs to be a real fix and not some half-assed balderdash promoted for some as yet undiclosed ulterior motive.
