I believe what I wrote covered the subject, without getting into a pi**ing match over Bush. He presented a plan, but obviously it will be debated and changed before becoming a fact. The one thing we should not do is just shelve the idea of reforming SS, because the problem just gets worse as long as it stays the same.

I’m sorry but the Bush history of exaggeration and misdirection *is]/i] important. A Social Security fix needs to be a real fix and not some half-assed balderdash promoted for some as yet undiclosed ulterior motive.
