Those convictions led to defense attorneys to send letters to the five New York borough prosecutors asking for reviews in crimes where people had been convicted based on testimony or evidence gathered by those same officers. In Manhattan alone, there are more than 1,100 such cases, the New York Times reports ---

Alabama woman arrested and jailed for three days for using drugs while pregnant. She wasn’t pregnant, but the cops didn’t bother to check. Was gonna ask if she was black, but then realised - wait - she’s preggers, which of course translates to future welfare queen, amirite? No (pregnant) stone left unturned, I say! Looking up [Stacey Freeman](https://radaronline.com/p/how-stacey-freeman-makes-parenting-fun/) under google images to check anyway, I took immediate note of the “parenting can be fun” blurbs. Boise is the big urban center in Idaho, so it is compartively “liberal”. If the guy had been a police chief in, say, Idaho Falls, he might have been outed as _not_ having White Supremacist ties. ---
