It looks like the specifics of this incident are that the shooting was justified. The officer was an AA and was wearing a body cam. That, of course, does not tell the whole story. There has been a long history of Milwaukee cops abusing people in the minority community. Lots of bad feeling. My prediction would be that things will calm down quickly. The damages, however, will last longer, which is a pity. ---

We seem to have reached the point when _any_ police shooting of a black man, justified or not, is cause for mob hysteria and rioting. Of course black lives matter, but when these lives are armed and an imminent danger to the public or police then frankly they matter less than the innocents who might be killed by them. If the BLM crowd protest and riot every time a black man is killed by police without waiting to see just who was at fault they’re going to weaken their cause considerably. They complain loudly (and rightly) of the attitude that says guilty because you’re black but then betray the self-same prejudice by saying guilty because you’re police. ---

Their lives matter less when they are a danger to public or police, but it’s the police that decide whether or not they are a danger and these are the same guys that think _any_ black person is a threat and _think nothing of shooting the_m which is what got the BLM so pissed off… ---
