They know that they almost certainly won’t get caught, if they are caught, they won’t be indicted, and if they are indicted, there will be at least one person on the jury who is a boot licker and will refuse to convict. That’s the pattern that they’ve been following. If you are a cop, you should feel like you have license to get away with anything, because you do. And every time they get away with it, the cops become just that much bolder in their criminal interactions with the public. ---

This thread is almost three years old now, and one of the incidents that impelled me to create it was the South Carolina incident where state trooper Sean Groubert told a black motorist to get his drivers license, and shot him as he was in the process of complying with the order. Groubert pleaded guilty last year to “assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.” He was sentenced yesterday. The judge handed down a 12-year sentence, but suspended it to five years.
