I’ll be in Montreal this weekend and I’m curious as the current conversion rate for US and Canadian dollars. For example, the event I’m going to on New Year’s Eve is $60 Canadian. So what’s that in US roughly? Thanks!

When I’m ogling ebay, I normally just take the first hit from google.
[http://www.xe.com/ucc/](http://www.xe.com/ucc/) says that’s about 50$ US.

The exchange rate has been fluctuating a fair bit recently. The Canadian dollar was recently as high as 85 cents US, then dropped to the 80 cent range, and is currently something over 82 cents.

In round figures, $6 CDN is $5 US – that’s never quite precise, but the 0.83333 ratio is close enough to what the exchange rate fluctuates around to be a good was to round-figure estimate. So your tickets are around $50 US.
