# Convince me why I should go out with nerd girl.

Speaking as a geekishly-inclined female-type person, I haven’t dated much, but everybody I’ve ever been really interested in has been pretty geeky themselves. I think a large part of this is that they don’t just see “geeky (former) Trekkie” who “needs” a pity date, but they actually get to know me. Current Guy is geeky and nerdy and very very sweet. Your loss.

Given the choice of an evening alone or a pity date, I’ll take alone anytime.
