Nerd girl checking in: Don’t ask her out. What could you possibly offer her? Why would she enjoy being with you? Maybe she does like your look, so let her look, but for goodness sake don’t speak. It seems to make her nervous and is evidentely spoiling her good time looking at you. ---

Well, at least SHAKES was big enough to admit that he can only get laid by bitter alcoholic barhags. Most people like him would at least make the attempt to portray themselves as a smooth playa who can get it on with anybody, but SHAKES was at least honest with us in describing his “love” life. ---

Don’t ask her out. I used to be nerd-girl. I was much, much happier in my high school days for everyone to think that I had no friends and just flat out not bother me with their stupid pity dates and ‘throwing a bone’ at me because it gave me lots of time to hang out with the few really good friends I did have. Those friends were typically older than me, were capable of holding a conversation with someone who had an IQ that ranged beyond single digits, and didn’t give a rat’s ass what the ‘cool people’ thought. Those people were the real ‘cool people’, and I hope to hell that if you do ask her out, nerd-girl figures out what a prime time asshole you are and says ‘No.’ very loudly and very publicly so that you can be forever known as the guy who got turned down for a date with nerd-girl. Her stock among folks with brains will skyrocket, and your stock among the ‘cool people’ who have no brains will plummet, as it should. Also, nerd-girl could end up like some of the other posters in this thread and me, shedding the nerd-facade at college and having a very amazing social life with men who find a brain to be not only an attractive feature but a required attribute. And since a lot of that probably went over your head, here’s the dumbed down version: You’re a fucking asshole for even thinking of asking a girl out on a pity date. If there was a god, I’d pray for it to turn you into a nerd. Oh, and she is too good for you, not the other way around, ya fucking creep. ---
